We are tiny beyond comprehending
The world is so immense it seems it’s never-ending
So we walk this Earth we get to borrow
Running towards pleasure and away from sorrow
Under the starlight
In a life we’ll never understand
Under the starlight
Holding your hand tightly while I can
Heaven is so bright but Earth is calling
Look up for too long and you might end up falling
Strange how living is improvisation
Till the time has come for us to leave the station
Under the starlight
On this lucky planet in the dark
Under the starlight
Each one trying hard to leave a mark
On this day we sit in silent wonder
Calling this day ours taking time to ponder
Things we have created or neglected
Nothing ever quite turns out how you expected
Under the starlight
Sitting for a while then we move on
Under the starlight
We get up again and then we’re gone
Under the starlight
In a life we’ll never understand
Under the starlight
Holding your hand tightly while I can
